We are Kenny and Ginny. We call Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula home during the summer months. Together, we enjoy recreational boating on the Oconto River and the Bay of Green Bay and camping in the cooler northern states. When the boating season is over, we become snowbirds and head south for the winter with our luxury DRV Moble Suites 5th-wheel trailer that we call Château de Sallé.

I bought the Château de Sallé in July 2018 with my late wife Nancy after our Monaco Windsor motorhome, OWFISH, was totaled in an accident.

Change in Summer Plans

As we were leaving Wisconsin last September, our plans for this year were to spend the summer at the Seagull Marina and Campground in Two Rivers, WI. That way we would be close to our boat, the Shangri-La, so that I could work on it. Well plans are made to be changed.

A couple of months ago, I found an ad for a Campground Host position with the Fond du Lac County in Wisconsin and I submitted our Workamper resume. Last week I received an email from the county showing interest in us if we were still interested. I called the county and sent them an email giving them our past workamping references letting them know that we would be interested. Today I received another email from Fond du Lac County letting us know that we have one of the positions.

Of course with these changes, we will probably change our plans of leaving the Shangri-La out of the water this year and return again to the docks on the Sheboygan River. I will still be able to do some of the work that I wanted to do and we will be able to spend our days off in Sheboygan aboard her.
